Who we are
Go Solar USA is a free matching service. We connect homeowners in the United States with independent solar installers and their financing partners. We are not a solar installer, lender or utility.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in our form we collect your ZIP code, whether you own your home, your average monthly electric bill, a self-reported credit score range, your name, your phone number and, if you choose, your email address.
Information collected automatically. We collect basic technical data such as your browser type, device, pages viewed and the ad or link that brought you here (for example UTM codes, gclid and fbclid). We use cookies and similar tools, including the Meta Pixel, to measure our ads.
We only ask for the information we need to provide the service you requested.
How we use your information
- To contact you by phone, text or email about your solar estimate and to book your in-home visit.
- To match you with a solar installer who serves your area, and to check whether solar and partner financing are likely to fit your home. We do not run a credit check.
- To follow up and make sure you were taken care of.
- To measure and improve our website and advertising.
- To meet legal obligations and prevent fraud.
How we share your information
When you submit a request, we share your contact details and your form answers with the local solar specialist we match you with, so they can contact you and prepare your estimate. That specialist may share information with its financing partners if you apply for financing.
We may also share information with:
- Service providers who help us run this website, our forms, our phone and text systems and our CRM, under contract and only for that purpose.
- Advertising and analytics partners such as Meta, in the form of browsing and ad interaction data.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights.
- A buyer or successor if our business is sold or merged.
Text messaging. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.
Calls and text messages
By submitting our form you agree that Go Solar USA and the installer we match you with may call and text you at the number you gave, including with automated technology or prerecorded messages, about your solar request. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also ask us to stop calling at any time.
Cookies and ad tracking
We use cookies and pixels to understand which ads bring visitors and requests. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can control ad personalization in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
Your choices and rights
